Press Start to Continue: Our Focus, Refreshed
April 17, 2025
Hey everyone,
We’re continuing to fine-tune what Blatherbox is all about—and spoiler alert: it’s the retro stuff that really lights us up. Deep dives into classic games and the legendary characters that shaped them? That’s the heart and soul of what we do.
Sure, we’ll throw in the occasional review of something shiny and new, and we’ll cover some news when it makes sense. But let’s be honest—we’re never going to be your go-to for breaking headlines or hot insider scoops. There are already a hundred sites doing that faster than we can say “preorder bonus.”
What we are focused on is digging into the greats: the games that got us hooked, the pixelated heroes (and villains) we still think about, and the stories behind it all. That’s why we’re also taking time to revisit and refresh some of our older articles—polishing them up, adding new content, and giving them the love they deserve.
Blatherbox is built by fans, for fans. We aim to keep things clean, thoughtful, and ad-free for as long as humanly possible. We’re also working on beefing up each article with more backstory, history, and all the good stuff that makes reading them feel worth your time.
Speaking of which, our latest refresh is live: it’s a new-and-improved look at the history of Mega Man. Go give it a read—we think you’ll enjoy it. And while you’re here, consider registering, joining the conversation, and dropping a comment. We’d love to hear from you.
Thanks for stopping by.
